OPEN GARAGE, McKibbin’s at Rokeby – Sunday 7th Oct.

Mark and Sue?s scenic property is situated on a beautifully serpentine stretch of road not too far north of Warragul that provides an ideal location to stretch the legs of Mark?s eclectic collection of veteran, vintage and classic cars and motorcycles. In his expansive garage (an ?Ecobarn? build-it-yourself prefab kit using laminated treated pine frame construction) that includes indoor and outdoor undercover storage, as well as an upstairs parts storage facility adjoining an office/lounge area, you?ll find a 1927 Bugatti Type 37, a 1950 Citroen, a 1972 Citroen SM, a 1972 Citroen 2CV, a 1924 Darracq, a 1914 T Ford, a 1909 Sizaire Naudin, together with a 1927Alvis 12/50 and another 2CV which belong to Mark?s friends, but are stored on site. There?s also plenty of floor space inside with a large 4-post hoist and a dedicated workshop area with a small lathe, drill press and the usual tools and equipment you?d expect to see in a well equipped workshop. This area was put to good use by our host who with the aid of a small convection oven was churning out hot ham and cheese croissants for his guests while their daughter Lexie kept up the supply of tea and coffee.
The weather once again didn?t entice too many of our members to bring their classics out for a run, but there was a solid turnout and all enjoyed the opportunity to see and hear all about Mark?s collection and his fantastic shed.
The Club is grateful to Mark and Sue for their hospitality in hosting this Open Garage morning again this year.

May I ask to send me a picture from each side of the engine bay, so that I can see the carburator and the camshaft lever rods as they are missing on this car.
