FEBRUARY BREAKFAST CLUB – Sunday 10th Feb

Another beautiful Warragul morning enticed a large turnout to our monthly breakfast gathering. When I arrived in my Fiat 124 coupe just after 8am, there were already plenty of well-presented cars taking up their favourite positions in the spacious Woolies? car park. As usual, there were classic American coupes and muscle cars, British, European and Japanese sporting marques and sedans, with plenty of Aussie classics well represented as well.
This month we saw the long awaited debut of Bruce Vroegop?s ?immaculate 66 Mustang which had been in transit from the US for what seemed like an eternity. Another recently arrived Mustang on display was the unusual California Special version owned by Richard Rowley. Ed Denovan left his TR6 at home and brought along a nice red Alfa 1750 that he had just purchased from NSW which was still on a 5-day permit prior to placing it on the Club Permit Scheme. Greg Noller joined in the Italian theme, riding in on his Morini 500 V-twin. Mark McKibbin was off to a vintage motorcycle outing, but stopped by to display a couple of his old 2-wheelers, strapped down in the back of his van.
It was great to renew acquaintances with Roger and Lorna Chapman who drove their MGB in from Seville and also Jane Vollebregt in her Porsche GT3 down from Richmond. There were a couple of immaculate Triumph TR3s parked together and a carby version of Jaguar?s V12 E-type alongside a lovely red Austin Healey. Far too many cars and stories to detail here, so if you haven?t yet been to one of our monthly Breakfast Clubs come along to our next one on the second Sunday in March.
