Despite very late notice, nine Sporting Register members were able to get to Bunnings at Morwell for a display on 21st September. The rain stayed away and we had a very pleasant day
We had? a pair of GT Falcons, a supercharged EH Holden, a Sunbeam, TR4, Mustang, Rover, MGB and a Brock Commodore on display and the cars generated quite a lot of attention; particularly the TR4 and the Sunbeam. We received very positive feedback from the public, with a couple of members from other clubs stating they envied the eclectic nature of our members’ cars. We were very fortunate to have the CFA display next to us with their 42 metre aerial appliance from which they were able to take some very impressive aerial shots of the cars for us.
The display commenced at 10.00am and everyone was able to get away by 1.30pm
Bunnings also provided vouchers for the sausage sizzle. What cholesterol????? Ron Brooks
