Righto regular readers, here’s your chance to tell us what happened at our latest Breakfast Club event. Your regular correspondent only managed to snap a few photos and speak to some early arrivals before heading off at 8:30 for another event. Apologies for not having photos of those who arrived after that time, but it was great to see at least 60 cars in position prior to 8:30am
Before departing I discovered that the VW engine in the blue classic Beach Buggy is actually a 2-litre Scat engine made in the USA. Despite looking like a Vee-Dub flat four, it uses imperial-sized nuts, bolts and components as well as plenty of nicely engineered go-faster bits.? I did like the gorgeous Alfa Romeo 4C which made a debut appearance this month – a stunning design, similar in many ways to a Lotus Elise/Exige/Evora.
Sadly, one of our members had his car damaged when rear-ended by an employee of Bakers Delight on his way to work. The damage was only minimal, but it’s such a shame to see any classic car damaged? by the careless actions of others.

As usual a wide variety of vehicles and not just club members. No rain but it got a very cold with wind blowing down the carpark, we had to stand in what sun there was to keep warm – I may park in the sun next time. I spoke to two different people who were non-members, they enjoy bringing their cars to the Brekkie Club as they feel welcome and see such a variety of vehicles. You can never be sure what you are going to see at the GSCCR Brekkie Club. I think the couple of photos attached are some that came later. After recent comments re upsetting the shop owners, I decided to have a look at how much parking was still left and took a couple of pics as a record. There were still plenty of parks vacant at about 9.30 and by 9.45 people had started leave, so there were more by the time most people would do their Sunday shopping.
