Locky and John Fowler together with Alex Weymouth and I travelled down to Geelong on Saturday 30th November to have a look at the second running of the revitalised annual Eastern Beach Sprints. Only the ‘moderns’ were running on Saturday, with the Historics waiting to have their turn on Sunday. Dave Anderson and Jane Vollebregt?were there with their MGBs enjoying the atmosphere and checking things out for their runs the following day. Mike Whitford had his Fiat Dino on display with a collection of other classic cars in the wharf area. The weather was fine and hot despite the forecast, ideal conditions for both the 2 and 4 wheel machines to put down some very quick quarter mile times.
