MID-WEEK RUN to JINDIVICK TAVERN ? Wednesday 19th Oct.

On a crisp Spring morning, drivers, navigators & passengers gathered outside the Stump Tea Rooms at Darnum for the Mid-Week Run to the Jindivick Tavern. Whilst John went through the route?we were to take, some of us were shivering in the cool morning breeze, so after a bit of a hurry up from Jan (The Managing Director) about 14 cars and approximately 30 people and 1 dog (Midget) set off. Six cars went straight to Jindivick whilst the rest of us took the more ?scenic? drive.? The cars included 3 Mustangs, 1 Mini, 2 MX5s, 2 Porsches, 1 Sunbeam, 1 MGTD, 1 Jag, 1 BMW, 1 Toyota 86, & 1 Hyundai – sorry If I missed anyone!

The winding roads wound through the beautiful farming districts of Shady Creek, Buln Buln East, Neerim South, Rokeby, Drouin West, Labertouche and our destination ? Jindivick.? The Jindivick Tavern was a delightful place to have lunch, and John did warn us to get in quick as they may, and did, run out of certain items on the menu. But no one seemed too concerned and everyone enjoyed their lunch.

A few of us visited the Nursery next door, not sure if there were any purchases!? There was much chatter about cars and bikes etc., and the views from the Jindivick Tavern were spectacular.? After a toss of a coin, it was decided that the next Mid-Week Run would be to Bunyip (I think). After everyone had finished their lunch, drinks and nattering, we all went off in our respective directions enjoying the gorgeous Spring sunshine.

Thanks again to John and Jan for another great Mid-Week Run.
